Eddie Maco Campbell, II
(1970-2008)

An Update in the Quest for Justice

(June 4, 2009) - José M. Pérez Pagán, the shooter in Eddie's murder, was sentenced today to 120 years by Judge Ines Rivera Aquino. The sentence includes 90 years for first-degree murder, 20 years for the use of a firearm, and 10 years for the transportation of a firearm.

Eddie's parents and family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and condolences. We know Eddie will rest in peace and now our healing must continue.  We thank God that justice has prevailed.

It is with deep sorrow that we acknowledge the transition of Eddie Maco Campbell, II. Eddie was a loving father, a devoted partner, and a wonderful son and brother. Many will miss Eddie--his laugh, his smile, and his sense of humor.

For months and years to come, friends across the country will celebrate Eddie's life. Members of Eddie's family have established this web site to share the many expressions of love they received at Eddie's passing and to keep the public informed as to their Quest for Justice. As you read this tribute, the family hopes you begin to know and love the man known simply as "Ed."
